HOW WE WORK WITH UNITED NATIONS SDG'S
Back in 2015, all 193 United Nations Member States adopted 17 sustainable development goals. Those goals require the member states to, among other things, eradicate poverty and hunger in the world, reduce inequalities and ensure better health for all.
At Tubus Technology, the idea of a world with more equal opportunities for all are anchored in our identity. Therefore, we see the sustainable development goals as a guideline for how we measure up. Are we creating a better world? We also hope that we can motivate other organizations to work towards those common goals too.
We have singled out three of the 17 sustainable development goals, where we in our organization can make the biggest difference.
SDG 3. GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
For people living with physical limitations, whether it is an innate condition or a sudden incident that has occurred, it is related to a lot of challenges, including loss of independence. Tubus Technology works on giving people their independence back and give them opportunities for regaining control of their own lives. This makes everyday life easier and contributes to good health and well-being. Our hope is to do this for all physically limited people in the world.
SDG 9. INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
Over the last five years, we at Tubus Technology have worked to create a tool to help disabled people gain access to digital opportunities and systems. By focusing on being innovative and creating a good infrastructure for a minority group in many societies we have aligned us in particular with SDG 9. Our product, TubusOne, is a tool that supports people who have not had access to use infrastructure in an easy and independent manner. Thereby, we are increasing the digital inclusion of persons with disabilities.
SDG 10. REDUCED INEQUALITIES
Reduce inequality within and among countries.
At Tubus Technology, a big part of our mission is to make sure that all human beings have equal opportunities as everybody else in many areas. Persons with disabilities are facing challenges related to employment opportunities and people’s perceptions of what it means to be disabled. Therefore, we fight for and provide them with the tools needed to be able to work, study and participate in society.
